First, I finished two books this week, so I'll do two "Department 256" entries.
From Kim Harrison's Pale Demon, page 256. Rachel has run into some trouble and gone to the demon Algaliarept for a little set-to. He's just given her a spiffy new outfit to wear to her coven hearing:

I'm currently finishing up Jaye Wells's Green Eyed Demon, the latest in her Sabina Kane series. I'm just including one sentence since it's followed by a quote that makes no sense out of context! Sabina and Adam are about to ambush someone they think can give them intel on some recent events and Sabina's missing sister.

I'm in the middle of several books right now. Two are romances by Susan Elizabeth Phillips (love the feel-good stories). But here's a bit from "Shadowfever" by Karen Marie Moning. It's book 5 in a five-book series set in Dublin, Ireland. The book's almost 600 pages.
