It's been eight months since all the adults disappeared. Gone. They've survived hunger. They've survived lies. But the stakes keep rising, and the dystopian horror keeps building. Yet despite the simmering unrest left behind by so many battles, power struggles, and angry divides, there is a momentary calm in Perdido Beach. Sinister, predatory insects terrorize Perdido Beach. And Sam, Astrid, Diana, and Caine are plagued by a growing doubt that they'll escape—or even survive—life in the FAYZ. Fourth in the Gone series.

Ooh, The Uninvited Guest by EJ Copperman!

(moecatj [at] msn [dot] com)
Judging a book by its cover, I'd go for the "Uninvited Guest".
ReplyDeleteJudging by the blurb it sounds like "View From the Imperium" would be my cup of tea. I'm a huge Wodehouse fan, and I love a good satire with an anti-hero so relentlessly feckless he triumphs despite himself.
I wonder about the cover art on this batch of books. I suppose it's quite difficult to come up with something fresh if you're a hard working artist with a big batch of work to get through, but somehow I don't think most of these stories are well served by their covers.
Mmmm...Mesmerized is my choice. That cover is smokin' hot! Want to take it & put him in my man purse!
