Universe or Multiverse? (And A Demon Does It Better Giveaway)

Today's featured book is A DEMON DOES IT BETTER, a paranormal
romance by Linda Wisdom,
and I'm giving away a copy, so read on...

What’s the deal with demons lately? Today’s featured book is a fun read from Linda Wisdom, combining sexy demons with witty witches in a multiverse full of trouble. Speaking of multiverses, this is something that was mentioned by an acquaintance recently as something she didn’t like—and I disagreed.

Do you like worlds where there is one primary species (think: JR Ward’s Black Dagger Brotherhood, where if there are things other than vampires, we don’t really deal with them), or do you like worlds where there are multiple species interacting in different ways (think: Kim Harrison’s The Hollows, where there are vampires, witches, demons, ghosts, werewolves, and all kinds of other critters)? As big a fan as I am of the BDB, and you know I am, I enjoy the big, sprawling multiverses.

Is your favorite book or series a single-species universe or a multiverse? And if you'd like to try A Demon Does It Better, just leave a comment! Also....come back tomorrow for the first two chapters of our new Preternatura Book Club read, Moon Called by Patricia Briggs, first in the Mercy Thompson series.
ABOUT THE BOOK: Bestselling author Linda Wisdom, with 13 million category romances sold, is working to build her single title audience with the hottest new area of the romance category– sexy demon heroes. Lovely witch Lili Carter takes a job at a paranormal hospital where patients have been disappearing. There she encounters Jared, a dangerously sexy demon on a mission that gets Lili into a world of trouble. Lili can't avoid Jared for long and soon they find themselves creating a whole new kind of magick. (Released January 1, Sourcebooks Casablanca)
One species of commenter will receive a print ARC of A Demon Does It Better, by Linda Wisdom. You know the drill, kiddies: one entry for comment, a second for blog follow, third for Twitter follow @Suzanne_Johnson, and a fourth for a tweet or retweet.

I am like you and enjoy a multiverse. I like the idea of different species appearing in my books, not knowing what I will read about next. I am a huge fan of Kim Harrison's. :)

I love both genres. I am also a huge Ward fan (recently started reading the Fallen Angels series, and wow!) am so curious about Thorment's book.

I am looking forward to Kresley Cole and Jayne Ann Krentz this week.

As usual: It totally depends on the story for me. there are examples of both among my favorite series.

I'm actually pretty neutral about this one. I like universes like Half-blood by Jennifer L. Armentrout, but I also like BDB too! Haha. I haven't really read a universe where I'm drooling all over it, so I think I'll go with MULTIVERSE.:)

I kind of like the multi-verse, but I will pretty much read anything. I love Linda's books and have not had a chance to pick up A Demon Does it Better yet, so please count me in. bpatrick64113@sbcglobal.net +1 Comment, +1 Follower

I like it when there are a few different paranormal species, but sometimes it gets to be too much. It's hard to do an "everything but the kitchen sink" story really well.

I think it depends on how the story grabs me. There has been books where I wish more was explored and then there have been books where I was so wrapped up in the story I could of cared less if there were other species. But, on the books where there was a multiverse I was totally entrhalled loved all the different species

I love the whole multiverse going on. I like to see a demon get with a witch or fallen get with faerie....It's usually forbidden or something and it's exciting to read about. They make it work. I love all paranormal so the more mixed together the better.

I love teh idea of a multiverse - after all if there are vampires, why wouldn't there the other supernatural creatures...? Plus I love it when there are tensions between different species! :)

I would say I like them both but I do like to see how the different species get along or don't get along.
