New Releases April 14-20 and Reader's Choice C*ontest

After a couple of crazy weeks filled with new releases, it’s kinda quiet this week, mostly with YA paranormals. Seems like I’m kind of drawn to White Horse this week, mostly because of the fab cover. (Speaking of which, go over to The Quillery and vote for Royal Street as debut cover for the month!)

Losers in Space, by John Barnes (April 12, Viking Juvenile)

Ghost Flower, by Michele Jaffe (April 12, Razorbill)

Eve, a runaway, finds a new job at a coffee shop on the outskirts of Tuscon. When she’s approached by two wealthy teens who claim she bears an uncanny resemblance to their missing cousin Aurora, her life takes a turn for the dark and mysterious. Young Adult.

White Horse, by Alex Adams (April 17, Atria)

Thirty-year-old Zoe wants to go back to college. That’s why she cleans cages and floors at GeneTech. If she can keep her head down, do her job, and avoid naming the mice she’ll be fine. Glimmer, by Phoebe Kitanidis (April 17, Balzer + Bray)

Terrified by their amnesia, the two make a pact to work together to find the answers that could jog their missing memories. Faustus Resurrectus, by Thomas Morrissey (April 17, Night Shade)

Donovan Graham, part-time bartender, full-time occult scholar, has just graduated college with a master's in philosophical hermeneutics, having completed his thesis on the Faustus legend. Now, on the recommendation of a friend and mentor, Donovan has begun helping the NYPD investigate a particularly gruesome series of murders, in which the victims have been artfully arranged to resemble the signs of the Zodiac. Is it a serial killer Donovan and the NYPD seek, or is something deeper and more sinister taking place?
