Graphic Novel Tuesday! W*n Robert Jordan & Girl Genius Omnibus

Now, how about something different? I think this is the first time I've featured any graphic novels here at Preternatura, but I have a couple of really cool ones to give away, so read on to find out more about them!

First up, we have THE EYE OF THE WORLD, volume two of the graphic novel from Robert Jordan's epic fantasy series. This volume is scripted by Chuck Dixon and illustrated by Andie Tong with the cooperation of the Jordan estate. In it, Rand al'Thor, Egwene al'Vere and their friends flee their home village in the company of Moiraine and her Warder, Lan Mandragoran. Pursued by their enemies, the group seeks sanctuary in Baerlon. Rand's nightmares grow darker. Moiraine takes Egwene under her wing. Lan warns them to trust no one, but should that distrust extend to Lan and Moiraine as well? This volume collects six issues of the comic book published by Dynamite Entertainment, along with bonus material.

GIRL GENIUS Omnibus, Volume 1, by Phil and Kaja Foglio brings a collection of this Hugo Award-winning webcomic. The Industrial Revolution has become all-out war as mad scientists, gifted with the Spark, unleash their insane inventioins on an unprepared Europe. For centuries, the Heterodyne family kept the peace, but the last Heterodyne disappeared twenty years ago. Now, their former ally Baron Wulfenbach tries to maintain order throughout a continent that despises and fears him. Previous editions of GIRL GENIUS have been available as self-published books, but this is the first time that the first three chapters of the story have been collected in a hardcover edition, fully recolored and relettered.
